Renault Has Many Interested
Some mentioned the desire to buy a Renault. Bernie Ecclestone, Renault confirmed it and will consider each offer.
One of the few enthusiasts is David Richards, Prodrive boss who is also the former boss of British American Racing and Benetton. In addition to Richards, there are also some other enthusiasts.
“Richards was interested and had more than one competitor,” I F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone told The Times as quoted by Reuters.
“There are also Gerard Lopez Group, there is also David Richards, and then there are also two other parties,” added Ecclestone.
Lopez is the founder of the technology investment company called Mangrove Capital Partners and Capital Genii helm, capital firm based in Luxembourg.
Lopez recently invested in Gravity Sport Management in which one is kliennnya Ho-Pin Tung, China’s first racing driver who drove the F1 car. Tung recently tested the Renault car in Spain.
Renault itself has not commented on speculation that growing number. French team said it was only last month that they would decide his fate in F1 at the end of this year.
According to the plan, Renault will hold a board meeting in Paris this week. Speculation is growing Renault intends to sell some shares. With the partnership scheme, Renault will be acting as the engine supplier.
Ecclestone hopes Renault sales agreement could be determined immediately. “I think there will be no rush, but the sooner the better for it,” he concluded.
