Google Chrome Beta Released for Mac and Linux
Long delayed due to technical issues, Google also finally released the Chrome beta browser made for Mac and Linux users. Previously, this delay could create disappointment Sergey Brin, Google co-founder.
“We use a lot of advantages in the version of Windows to create a Mac specific browser’s taut and exciting,” wrote John Grabowski and Mike Pinkerton, two software engineers in Google Chrome project in Google’s official blog.
Last year, Google has released the final version of the Chrome browser for Windows. However, let alone beta version, for Mac and Linux, is a new product available in the early development version and not guaranteed stable.
Although it’s out of beta for Mac, users can not feel all the management features such as bookmarks and do not support the extension program. As for versions of Windows and Linux, Chrome browser can be customized with additional applications.
“We expect the beta version for Mac, Linux, and the extension included in the list that you want this year,” said Brian Rakowski, a Google product manager, in the same blog.
